The money for motivation model is as dead as Don Draper. Motivation is an enormous part of successful leadership, talent management, and organizational change, yet attention is often focused only on skills and experience. In today's employment landscape, including changing demographics and retention challenges, younger talent is demanding more personalized and appreciation-based interactions for career development. While motivation, competencies, retention, and demographic needs may seem separate, they find common ground in scientifically grounded frameworks like the Big Five and McClelland's human motivation research.

This webinar will explore the usefulness of McClelland's needs-motivation theory for HR work, the value of the Big Five framework for understanding personality, and how both can support talent succession and early manager development. Using the LINC Personality Profile (LPP), widely used in Europe and the UK but new to North America, organizations can scientifically assess personality, motivations, and competencies related to the Big Five.

Understanding what motivates people, how to use those motivations in coaching and talent development, and how personality relates to development potential can strengthen HR success, training, and succession planning. Framing these needs within a proven, scalable model provides organizations with talent development approaches that offer longevity and significant return on investment.
