Employee complaints don't wait for a convenient moment and how you respond often determines whether your organization is protected or exposed. This session walks HR professionals and people managers through a complete investigation process: recognizing when you're legally obligated to investigate, choosing the right investigator, running interviews that hold up to scrutiny, and reaching a documented, defensible outcome. It also includes techniques for trauma-informed interviewing for interviewing complainants and witnesses in a way that improves the accuracy of what you learn while reducing the risk of re-traumatization.
