How Coaching Can Elevate You as an HR Professional
Date: Wednesday, May 25, 2022
Time: 9:00 am – 10:30 am
Place: Webcast via Zoom (link will be sent upon registration)
The HR role is a strategic asset to leaders in business units. The HRBP provides advice, solves problems, acts as a sounding board, and influences the organization. Using the lens of a coach can help guide your organization to understand themselves, their people, and their work in a new way. Leveraging your Emotional Intelligence skills, communication skills, and active listening, you can coach in a new way system-wide.
Benefits of approaching your role through the coaching lens may include:
- Helping others to understand where the ultimate responsibility lies within their dilemma
- Using questions to diagnose the situation as opposed to taking on the problem as your own
- Helping others to create their own solutions
- Assisting others to gain confidence in their leadership skills
We will dive into the following skills to set us up for our coaching practice:
- Active Listening
- Empathy
- Emotional detachment
- Strategic understanding
We will use the majority of our session together in active coaching practice.
Please come to the session prepared with a topic you are ready to be coached on. Please take this opportunity to be vulnerable, stretch yourself, and learn with us!
